Duties
- Setting sales goals for the sales team
- Creating and managing the company budget
- Approving contracts made in the financing department
- Managing inventory
- Overseeing vehicle acquisitions operations
- Developing strategies to increase sales and profits at the dealership
- Hiring and training sales staff
- Ensuring that the department meets its sales targets and customers' expectations
- Developing a departmental strategic plan
- Establishing employee protocols
- Tracking the auto group’s progress toward unit sales goals, profitability, and other quotas
- Overseeing the sales department, service and parts, and accounting and finance
- Motivating employees
- Planning events and promotions
- Ensuring customer satisfaction
