We are now seeking a Lead Diesel Shop Foreman in the Nashville Area

Would love for the ideal candidate to have Waste and or Recycling Industry experience 

We are seeking to pay around $105K mark but open to discussions
 
We are seeking a hands-on Diesel Shop Foreman to lead our maintenance team. This position is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations in the diesel shop, managing shop technicians, and ensuring timely and effective repair and maintenance of Class 8 semi-trucks and trailers. The ideal candidate has a strong background as a diesel technician and a solid understanding of trailer systems, with a proven ability to lead a team and manage priorities. This person will also handle OTR breakdowns while on-duty and off-duty which includes weekends and holidays.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of diesel technicians on the shop floor
  • Prioritize repair and maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and meet dispatch schedules
  • Diagnosing and troubleshoot complex mechanical issues on Class 8 trucks and trailers
  • Ensure quality standards are met in all repairs and preventative maintenance
  • Monitor and enforce safety protocols, cleanliness, and efficiency in the shop
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and communicate status updates to dispatch and management
  • Assist with breakdown calls and field repairs as needed
  • Train and mentor technicians to improve skill levels and performance
  • Order parts and manage shop inventory in coordination with purchasing
  • Work closely with drivers and operations to resolve equipment concerns promptly

Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience as a diesel technician 
  • At least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role preferred
  • Strong mechanical, electrical, and diagnostic skills
