The Director is responsible for setting strategic direction, ensuring operational excellence across all locations, expanding market share, and driving business profitability. This role requires strong leadership, operational acumen, and the ability to foster relationships with key stakeholders such as customers, vendors, and insurance companies.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and implement national-level strategies for the auto glass division to ensure profitability and market expansion.
- Set business goals and KPIs related to revenue growth, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
- Work closely with executive leadership to align auto glass operations with broader company objectives and vision.
- Monitor industry trends and competitive landscape to identify growth opportunities and potential challenges.

Operational Oversight:
- Oversee the daily operations of multiple auto glass locations across the country, ensuring high-quality service, efficient processes, and regulatory compliance.
- Standardize operational procedures and ensure consistency in service delivery, quality control, and safety across all locations.
- Implement and manage systems for tracking repair and replacement cycle times, costs, and performance metrics.
- Conduct periodic site visits to ensure alignment with company standards and provide support to regional and location managers.

Team Leadership & Development:
- Lead and develop a team of regional managers and auto glass technicians to achieve operational goals.
- Manage recruitment, training, and retention of skilled personnel, ensuring that all employees are trained in the latest tools, techniques, and safety protocols.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations, set individual and team goals, and implement staff development plans to enhance performance and job satisfaction.
- Foster a collaborative and motivating work environment that promotes high standards and accountability.

Financial Management:
- Develop and manage budgets for the national auto glass division, ensuring financial targets are met or exceeded.
- Oversee pricing strategies, cost management, and profit margins while maintaining competitive service offerings.
- Analyze financial reports to assess the profitability of each location and identify areas for cost reduction or increased efficiency.
- Monitor and report on key financial indicators (P&L, revenue, margins) to the executive team.

Customer Experience & Satisfaction:
- Ensure that the customer experience is seamless and consistent across all locations, with a focus on timely, accurate, and high-quality service.
- Oversee customer service policies, including warranties, repairs, and satisfaction guarantees.
- Analyze customer feedback and reviews to continually improve service quality and customer retention rates.
- Handle high-level customer complaints or escalated issues, ensuring swift and satisfactory resolutions.

Vendor & Partner Relations:
- Manage relationships with key vendors and suppliers, including auto glass manufacturers and distributors, to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of materials.
- Negotiate favorable terms with suppliers to drive cost efficiency and enhance profit margins.
- Establish and maintain partnerships with insurance companies, fleet operators, and other business clients to drive volume and maintain strong referral pipelines.
- Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to promote services and grow market share.

Compliance & Safety:
- Ensure that all locations are compliant with federal, state, and local regulations, including those related to environmental safety, labor laws, and industry-specific standards.
- Develop and enforce safety policies to minimize workplace accidents and ensure safe handling of materials and equipment.
- Ensure that all technicians are certified and trained to meet or exceed industry standards (e.g., AGSC certification).

Business Development & Expansion:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including potential partnerships, acquisitions, or new location openings.
- Drive the national expansion of auto glass services by evaluating new markets and making strategic recommendations for growth.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to design and implement campaigns that promote brand awareness and customer acquisition.
- Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and events to enhance brand presence and foster networking.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, operations management, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Experience:
- 10+ years of experience in the auto glass or automotive repair industry, with 5+ years in a leadership or director-level role.
- Proven experience in multi-location management, operational oversight, and business growth strategies.
- Strong knowledge of auto glass repair and replacement technologies, tools, and industry standards.
- Certifications: Certification in Auto Glass Safety Council (AGSC) is a plus.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with business management software, CRM systems, and auto glass management tools (e.g., GlasWeld, Mitchell).
- Other Skills:
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and guide teams toward achieving business goals.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on operational efficiency.
- Strong financial acumen, with the ability to manage budgets and drive cost-saving initiatives.
