Job Description
Job Summary:
The Property Field Adjuster is responsible for investigating, evaluating, and resolving property insurance claims here in Orange county, FL. This role requires fieldwork, including on-site inspections of damaged property, interviewing claimants and witnesses, estimating repair costs, and ensuring fair and prompt claim settlements in accordance with company policies and industry regulations.

The Property Field Adjuster is responsible for investigating, evaluating, and resolving property insurance claims here in Orange county, FL. This role requires fieldwork, including on-site inspections of damaged property, interviewing claimants and witnesses, estimating repair costs, and ensuring fair and prompt claim settlements in accordance with company policies and industry regulations.
Key Responsibilities:

Conduct on-site inspections of residential and/or commercial property damage.

Determine the cause and extent of loss by gathering facts through interviews, documentation, and physical inspection.

Accurately assess damages and prepare written estimates using estimating software (e.g., Xactimate).

Communicate with policyholders, contractors, public adjusters, and attorneys as needed.

Provide timely and professional customer service throughout the claims process.

Maintain detailed records of inspections, findings, and claim decisions.
-
Negotiate and settle claims in accordance with policy coverage, applicable laws, and company procedures.

Collaborate with internal teams including desk adjusters, underwriters, and legal as required.

Stay informed of changes in industry standards, state laws, and company guidelines.
Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.

2+ years of experience in property claims adjusting or a related field.

Active state adjuster license(s) or the ability to obtain licensing as required.

Proficient in property estimating tools (Xactimate preferred).

Knowledge of building construction and repair practices.
-
Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
-
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Willingness to travel within assigned territory.

Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.
Working Conditions:

Frequent travel to claim sites within assigned region.
-
Exposure to various weather conditions and potentially hazardous environments.
-
Occasional lifting or climbing may be required during inspections.
