We are actively seeking an Assistant Shop Manager to join our growing team here in Belleville, MI
Key Tasks & Responsibilities
· Responsible for ordering parts for company diesel and gas powered vehicles and equipment.
· Communicating with mechanics and vendors regarding preventative maintenance.
· Responsible for completing work orders to effectively repair equipment.
· Follow up on parts status and out of shop service work.
· Assist Service Manager with daily tasks.
· Maintain records of serviced vehicles and equipment.
· Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Requirements:
· At least 18 years of age.
· Ability to multi-task and good organizational skills.
· Strong attention to detail and follow-up skills.
· Ability to pass drug-screening and MVR check.
· Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed.
· Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
Compensation and Benefits:
· Compensation ranges between $21 to $25 per hour, depending on experience.
· $2,000 sign-on bonus available.
· Medical benefits package that includes medical & prescription coverage, dental, and vision plans for employees and their qualifying family members (eligible after 90 days employment).
· Group term life insurance, long-term disability, and flexible spending accounts offered to eligible employees.
· $300 annual boot reimbursement.
· 6 days of Holiday PTO. 1 week of vacation PTO after 90 days employment. Additional vacation time available based on shop need and seniority.
· Retirement benefits including a 401(k) plan with up to 4% employer match (eligible after 6 months of employment).
