What You'll Do
- Perform preventive maintenance services on medium- and heavy-duty diesel trucks.
- Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Utilize diagnostic software and tools to identify and resolve mechanical issues.
- Complete inspections and ensure all repairs meet company and DOT safety standards.
- Accurately document repairs, parts used, and maintenance performed.
- Work closely with service advisors and fellow technicians to maximize fleet uptime.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Previous diesel technician or heavy truck mechanic experience required.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with preventative maintenance and major component repairs.
- Knowledge of Cummins, Detroit Diesel, Paccar, Caterpillar, or similar diesel engines is a plus.
- Own tools preferred (tool allowance available if applicable).
- Valid driver's license required; CDL is a plus.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and commitment to safety.
