1st Shift Diesel Technician
Location: Orlando, FL
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 1st Shift
Job Type: Full-Time
What You'll Do
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain medium- and heavy-duty diesel trucks and equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and scheduled services.
- Troubleshoot diesel engines, electrical systems, brakes, steering, suspension, HVAC, hydraulic, and air systems.
- Complete engine, transmission, drivetrain, and aftertreatment repairs.
- Perform DOT inspections and ensure repairs meet safety and quality standards.
- Utilize diagnostic software and OEM scan tools to identify mechanical and electrical issues.
- Accurately complete repair orders and maintenance documentation.
- Work closely with the Service Manager and team to prioritize repairs and maximize fleet uptime.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Qualifications Required
- 2+ years of diesel technician or heavy equipment repair experience.
- Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills.
- Experience performing preventative maintenance and major component repairs.
- Ability to read diagnostic codes and troubleshoot complex issues.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work in a shop environment.
- Must have your own basic hand tools.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- ASE Medium/Heavy Truck Certifications.
- Experience with Cummins, Detroit Diesel, Paccar, International, Volvo, Mack, or CAT engines.
- CDL Class A or B.
- DOT Inspector Certification.
- Welding and fabrication experience.
- Fleet maintenance or dealership experience.
