Vitus Search Group is proud to be part of a massive hiring run here in Toledo OH
We are assisting with creating a 3rd Shift Engineering Team for a fabulous client
We are seeking 8 qualified candidates for the newly developing team
Looking for someone recently out of college or engineering school or with 1-2 years experience
$48-70k - 5% Annual Incentive Bonus, Overtime for anything after 40 hours
We will be conducting interviewing immediately with a large panel interview on the 4th of August
Start Dates would ideally be the 10th of August
Responsibilities:
• Troubleshoots assembly, equipment, and component related faults and issues to reduce
line downtime.
• Provides wall to wall technical support to all assembly related equipment and processes
including specialized test machines such as balancers, dynamic backlash testers, function
testers, and NVH equipment.
• Identify and fulfill engineering improvement projects associated with reoccurring
equipment downtime, station cycle time improvements, assembly first time through issues,
and both proactive and reactive quality and safety concerns.
• Works in conjunction with maintenance and engineering to facilitate equipment/machine
repairs.
• Support “Core Teams” and their initiatives to drive continuous improvement in Safety,
Quality, Delivery, and Cost as required.
• Work daily within a cross functional team (Engineering, Quality, Materials, Operations,
Program Management) to achieve plant goals and accomplish day to day tasks.
• Assist Process Engineers with testing and development of new tooling to support product
changes and program launches.
• Interpret blueprints and specifications – Components, Assemblies, Tooling.
• Support and execution of 5S Objectives.
• Support and execution of Dana Operating System (DOS) Objectives.
• Follows change management procedure for process changes including updating and
implementation of required documentation such as Work Instructions, PFMEA, and
Control Plan alongside the respective process engineer.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
• Strong technical/troubleshooting ability and attention to detail. Experience with
automation equipment and processes is a plus.
• Excellent planning and organizational skills with the ability to perform multiple tasks
required to simultaneously and deal with stressful situations.
• Must be a self-starter and able to work with limited supervision.
• Excellent interpersonal skills in dealing with people across multiple organizational levels.
• Ability to work overtime when needed to complete required tasks or provide support.
• Travel may be required (<5%).
• Additional formal education in technical field will be encouraged to expand capabilities and
to prepare for future opportunities within organization.
• Associates Degree in Engineering Field Required
• Bachelors Degree in Engineering Field Preferred - Mechanical or Electrical
