Job Description
A CDL with a Hazmat endorsement is responsible for the safe and legal transportation of hazardous materials. The job description includes:
- Operating a commercial vehicle: CDL drivers must operate vehicles that are suitable for transporting hazardous materials.
- Handling hazardous materials: Hazmat drivers must be trained to handle, store, and transport hazardous materials safely.
- Emergency response: Hazmat drivers must be trained to respond to emergency incidents involving hazardous materials.
- Compliance with regulations: Hazmat drivers must adhere to all federal, state, and local laws and regulations regarding the transportation of hazardous materials.
